First prof paper<br> At of you who gave first PROF paper and didn’t receive DEC mail ?Waiting for ATx didn’t receive DEC mail
October 17, 2020 at 1:30 pm #589518I am surprised ACCA have not issued any statement regarding the email and we heard confirmation in here/PQ magazine. It talks about mental health and does not care what students must be going through. Seems it does not have any incident response plan to deal with situations like this
October 17, 2020 at 1:40 pm #589520it was my first time writing a session CBE exam and I’m super stressed rn..hoping to pass

October 17, 2020 at 1:42 pm #589522I don’t think posts are being deleted, I think the forum is just struggling to keep up with the number of posts. They always turn up eventually.
October 17, 2020 at 1:45 pm #589525Everyone who like me hasn’t received the email, what are you planning on doing?
Has anyone started looking into other papers for the optionals they are going to attempt?
I am thinking of going for ATX in place of APM.
October 17, 2020 at 1:57 pm #589528@tasbihak if i were you i would stick to your original paper APM.. you already have all the knowledge required you just need to brush up the way you approach the paper under examining conditions…. always keep in mind that you will never have the same paper you failed in maybe you were just unlucky in the type of questions that appeared in September sitting
October 17, 2020 at 2:09 pm #589534Can we get a result before monday..
I wrote my last paper and some people got mail saying that congrats u have been affiliate .
Iam scared and worried .
Can anyone help meOctober 17, 2020 at 2:09 pm #589535@tasbihak you don’t know you have failed. If I’m reading it right, you sat you’re final two exams? IF and its a big if, if not receiving the email does mean you’re not an affliate yet, then it could mean you passed one and not the other.
Also i wouldnt recommend making any rash decisions about changing your options, especially if you’re not far off. I failed AFM first attempt but it looks like I have passed 2nd attempt, i had all the knowledge from my first attempt whereas changing would have meant starting over again.
October 17, 2020 at 2:26 pm #589541@tabishak I wouldn’t advise you to change over to ATX, even if you failed APM. The ATX syllabus is huge!
October 17, 2020 at 2:27 pm #589542@frafiq81 I totally agree about luck of official statement from ACCA. this is extremely frustrating situation and they should think about mental health impact. We all have to deal with Covid 19 situation and this add to the stress. If ACCA leaves this issue till Monday it’s just too long. They should address this asap
October 17, 2020 at 2:29 pm #589544I’m back to ATX question practice as there’s no point in waiting for Monday. At least I’ll keep myself occupied (and sane!) 🙂
October 17, 2020 at 2:31 pm #589546Thank you for the advise. I was unsuccessful in APM in the March 2020 attempt as well. That’s why I thought maybe I shouldn’t go ahead with it again.
I am going to wait till Monday, just trying to make myself ready for all of this.
It really is ironic how all this has happened. Two weeks back, I cannot packed all my ACCA books neatly cause I was so sure I have passed them all.
Will definitely wait till Monday but considering the number of people who has received them, I am not so confident any more. But if I have come this far with excellent results in other exams, can’t let this failure stop me from achieving my dreams.
October 17, 2020 at 2:42 pm #589547I sat APM & SBL this sitting, and didn’t get the email. I failed ATX before, I got a really good mark at TX but the ATX syllabus is just huge. I am going to stick to APM if I have failed that. We might be pleasantly surprised on Monday but I don’t have much hope
October 17, 2020 at 3:03 pm #589551I passed ATX at the first attempt 2 years ago and then took a break before taking APM in September. If you really want to switch to ATX I’d suggest skipping the December exam period and sitting it in March as it takes a long time to cover the syllabus. Depends what you prefer, ATX is more calculations and rules based where as APM is more theory based.
October 17, 2020 at 3:05 pm #589552Its on acca Facebook now too
October 17, 2020 at 3:31 pm #589554I got a congratulatory message from ACCA yesterday on becoming an affiliate!!! This means I passed SBL! I’m so excited! I wrote my first exams in September 2017 and concluded in September 2020. Its been a journey.

I’m feeling the same way. I just don’t like the way APM is examined, the syllabus is manageable but I’m never quite sure if I’m answering the question or not. Seeing as I didn’t receive ‘the email’ I’m guessing I didn’t answer the question.
I did TX ages ago and my technical knowledge isn’t great but would rather manage a large syllabus and have concise exam requirements than the current set up with APM.

@tabishak I am continuing with my ATX revision (resumed two weeks after the exam). I wouldn’t advise you to go for ATX in December as there is a lot to learn – unless you did TX very recently.
Today I have begun practising an ATX past question relating to group relief, VAT and SSE. No point waiting until Monday 🙁
October 17, 2020 at 3:38 pm #589559lets see on monday if any finalist who did not get the email passed…
