I studied a technique to cost reduction is standardisation of product.
I am unable to clear it means that all products we make are of same standards or does it means that standard for a product has been developed and there is no change in the product.
The line says ” Standardisation of product refers to the production of articles to the same standard or range of products each of which is standardized.”
Please help me Tutor JOHN. Thanking you.
It is difficult for me to comment on a quote from a book written by someone else when it is out of context.
Standardisation of a product simply means making all of the products to the same standard specification.
The relevance of it to cost control is likely to be that the production is checked to make sure that is not ending up costing more than the standard.
Thank you tutor
You are welcome.
