Hi John,
Could you please explain the answer of this question from chapter 17 in KIT book?
Where a transaction is entered into the correct ledger accounts, but the wrong amount is used, what is the error known as?
A. An error of omission
B. An error of original entry
C. An error of commission
D. An error of principle. Why is the answer B, an error of original entry? I asked that because in the TEXT book, it is said that errors of casting (Adding up) was one of two common types of errors of commission. I am really confused about the difference between error of original entry and error of commission.
Thank you so much in advance.

An error of original entry is when the wrong amount is entered.A casting error is not an error of commission, but is indeed an error of addition.
