Sir we all know that when there an error in receivable ledger this does not affect the receivable control account, but will this affect the trail balance not to tally?
No – the receivables ledger balances do not appear in the trial balance, only the balance on the control account.
So if for example if individual credit sale of X’s is 1200 but recorded as 1300, will it causes to overstate Receivable Journal and affect the receivable control account?
If it is recorded wrongly in the journal, then yes.
