Sir it is written in uk corporate governance code that a chair or independent ned should not be for more than 9 years appointed to board since their FIRST APPOINTMENT.
So for example if a person is currently a chair for 5 years and previously was a independent ned for 4 years…..this means he cannot be chair any longer since it is 9 years since HIS FIRST APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD.
