Which of the following should be included in a corporate code of ethics?
A. A detailed description of all of the commercial objectives of the company
B. The consequences for employees of violating the standards of behavior expected of them.
C. A summary of the responsibilities of the individual directors of the company
D. A list of laws and regulations with which the company will comply.
please explain which one is the correct and why?
I think B as the other are connected with compliance with laws or regulations or are connected with general non-ethical objectives and control of the company. B is clearly connected with ethical behaviour.
Why can’t it be c?
Thanks for your help!
It’s because that answer does not specifically regard ethics.
In a lot of these types of question you are looking for the answer(s) that best fit the question. In my mind B does the above quite clearly in my opinion. Hope this helps.
