Controlled or Owned

Dear Sir,
I am though done with my F3 paper but still i an curious regarding one bit.. Is is not better to say that the assets are resources “controlled” by an enterprise, rather to say that these are “owned”?
I would be very thankful to you if u could help me on that..

Strictly it is assets that are controlled by the business (although for Paper F3 it is effectively the same as owning them – it is only really in later papers that the distinction just could become important).
