Can you explain what the Contra Proferentem rule states?
Thanks in anticipation.
The contra preferentum (not proferentum) rule states that any exclusion clause will be read very, very carefully in the interests of the person against whom the exclusion is going to operate
Basically, that exclusion clause must be in no way vague, capable of misinterpretation or ambiguity
OK?
