I hope someone can answer this in time as exam is tomorrow.

I’m aware that for section C we need to construct our own answer on the spreadsheet provided to us, but what about sections A and B? Since they’re multiple choice, do I also need to show my calculations, or can I simply prepare them on my own physical scratch pad and then just select the answer?

    Thanks

I don’t think you need to show workings for the multiple choice questions. Obviously for part C you obviously have to do so as these will be marked. Not hundred percent sure. Hopefully someone can confirm. Hope this helps.

No you don’t need to show any workings for Sections A or B – either you’re right or you’re wrong – which you would see if you looked to any of the Specimen, Practice or Mock exams in the CBE practice platform.

So, I’m assuming they’re automatically checked by a computer? The examiner won’t check my calculations just in case if I provide them?

Also, about Section C, I’m assuming the examiner inspects the formula bar of the spreadsheet as well, right? To check the calculations that give the relative result.

Section A/B Qs are objective – you’re either right or wrong and this is automarked. Yes a marker can see the formulae in your spreadsheet. You would see this if you had attempted ACCA”s mock.
