When I am calculating a group’s share of subsidiary’s retained earnings, do I add revaluation surplus? Or does it appear under a different heading in the consolidated statement of financial position.
It is not added to retained earnings. Other reserves are listed separately.
(However it is very unlikely for there to be a revaluation surplus in a Paper FA consolidation question)
