in chapter 22 example 1 of your lecture notes:
P invested 100% in S…investment in S cost $10,000. why isnt the investment amount of $10,000 not shouwn in the consolidated stayement of financial position? is it because it has been added to parent share capital? help me.

You must watch the free lectures – I work through and explain the examples in my lectures.

The whole point of consolidations is to replace the investment in the subsidiary with the assets and liabilities of the subsidiary!!!
