at what point does consolidation commence, like does it start when a valid indication arises to all stakeholders or when the actual control is attained ?

What is a ‘valid indication’?
It starts immediately after it is recognised that the investor has control (or, under IFRS 10) effective control
OK?
October 26, 2016 at 1:27 pm #346112what i meant was like sir an announcement that this company is taking over and all major stakeholders are aware of it
October 26, 2016 at 3:37 pm #346132Until control (or effective control) is achieved then no consolidation
When talks are in progress, no consolidation
When an offer is made and some shareholders accept that offer … still no consolidation
When the holders of more than 50% of the shares have accepted the acquirer’s offer, THAT’S when consolidation commences
OK?
