I watched your lecture in Further points- Group Account. I got clear about Associate in CSOFP.
Question 1:
Can you please tell that what is treatment of Associate in Consolidation Financial Performance?
We should show dividends received from Assosicate or not and how to deal associate in CSOPL.
Question 2:
You said that we won’t do accounting for associate if no subsidiary.
So instead we will do “Investment at Cost” method in Personal SOFP or we can still do Equity Accounting method in Personal SOFP?
1. Dividends received are not examinable in Paper FA (it is in Paper FR that they are examined).
2. If there is no subsidiary then there are no consolidated accounts and therefore no associate company. If a company does own shares in another company then it shows the investment at cost in the normal way.
Thank you tutor. 🙂
You are welcome.
