Is it acceptable if i show each element separately for eg instead of amalgamating all the impairment losses on financial asset into finance cost,can i show impairment loss separately in the I/S?

Yes, I believe that that would be perfectly acceptable. The exam is a technical financial reporting exam – it’s not an arts and craft exam. There ARE professional marks in the paper, but not for the beauty of your consolidated Statement of Income
