I watched lecture video of Chapter 21. In that, you wrote Share Capital of Parent’s Company only in Consolidated SOFP. What is the reason of not writing Share Capital of Subsidiary? Please explain the concept.
It is the parent who owns the subsidiary.
In the consolidated SOFP we show it as one big company owned by the shareholders of the parent company (with a bit owing to others – i.e. the non-controlling interest).
Thank you Sir
You are welcome 🙂
