    hello sir
i have to choose between p4 and p5
i have decided to write p5 in september..but i read posts from many candidates saying that they have been attempting p5 5 , 6 ,7 times and not clearing it..
my study approach to papers like f8 , p1 and p3 was to watch lecture videos, read notes and read past papers as much as i can.. and also technical articles
that technique has helped me pass the theoritical papers in the first attempt.
if i do opt for p5.. i plan to focus on reading the past exam papers repeatedly..along with the notes and lecture videos
but..i want to know if that is sufficient ?
because so many students are failing p5 .. is it because of lack of technique or..
is it because p5 is an exceptional paper which is very hard to pass?
because if its really really hard to pass.. then i am thinking of selecting p4..
    from my experience
i have failed acca papers when i had not taken effort from my side.. but whenever i did put in the effort i have passed in first attempt… but from reading the posts by other students..many of them have taken maximum effort and have not cleared even after 5 or 6 attempts..so because of that i am confused as to which paper i should choose

P5 is a very open-ended exam that requires you to think and respond on the spot. There is not much additional knowledge beyond F5 and P3 but the questions are demanding.

P4 is more technical and quite mathematical. You really need to have got on well with F9. I think it is more predictable or standardised, but check with John Moffat on the P4 forum.

P5 is great, not need to learn lectures. Just solve interesting business cases.
