    Hi,

I am returning to ACCA after a 10 year gap and wish to sit the SBR paper in June 2020 sittings.

I am not sure where to start as I have forgotten most of my accounting knowledge (only have working knowledge and experience).

I have just started from Conceptual Framework and I feel I needs to have a good knowledge and understanding of the accounting standards, IFRS and IAS.

Would you be able to guide me with, which IFRS and IAS I needs to focus on to successfully answer questions relating to Conceptual Framework?

Also do you think It would be beneficial for me to go through FR syllabus for overall SBR success?

    Many Thanks.

    Kind Regards,
    Meher

I think you should the first month going back through FR – use our online lectures and notes.

But don’t spend too long on consolidation – in SBR you will be EXPLAINING consolidation as opposed to producing one

By the time you finish SBR you should be able to relate ALL the accounting standards to the Framework.
