May 12, 2014 at 10:31 pm #168576Read through the course notes two or three times – just READ, don’t try to learn of memorise.
Watch the company law lecture videos on this site, two or three times ( if you can persuade yourself to sit through them and pay attention!)
Then get stuck into the revision kit / exam kit and start attempting past exam questions. Just PLAN in bullet point form, for 5 minutes, ten points that you think are relevant
Then read the suggested solution – but do not be dismayed at the length not quality of the answers. These have been prepared by the examiner of tutors from one of “the big two” under no time pressure and with reference books available. As much as anything, they seem to be being used as a medium for showing off exactly how smart they are.
There is NO WAY that your answers will be anything like approaching the length nor quality of those printed solutions so…..accept that your ten paragraphs (each with just one markable point) should be enough to persuade any marker that you have an accountant’s knowledge (not a lawyer’s knowledge) of English law.
Your first attempts will likely be “poor” (sorry) but with constant repetition you’ll find that it becomes progressively easier to arrive at those ten markable points
Hope that helps

If it’s not a top 350, then one third by rotation retire each year and may seek reelection
