    Is it important to show workings in the ratio analysis and the stating the formulas?

    It is vital to show workings for everything – the marks are for the workings and not for the final answer!
    You don’t have to state the formulae, but it usually a good idea – then you will get some marks even if you end up putting the wrong figures in, or make a calculation mistake.
