Hi,
I am currently enrolled and will be taking 2 exams this year for the CMA US qualification.
I was searching on ACCA CPD and came across this PDF document, the example is for an MBA but the in the end it states.
https://www.accaglobal.com/content/dam/acca/global/PDF-members/2015/Policy/MBA.pdf
*If you have been studying for an MBA or another qualification then you may have achieved more than 21 verifiable units (the minimum requirement) for that year. You can choose how many of these units you wish to verify and then carry forward up to 21 verifiable units to the next CPD year. You cannot carry forward any non-verifiable units.
Is my understanding correct that basically I can claim my time spend on studying the CMA as verifiable CPD and use the results transcript as evidence?
In this case I can claim a total of 42 hours of CPD this year (21 for this year and 21 to be carried forward for next year)?. My actual time spend studying is far greater the 42 hours, however only 21 hours can be carried forward so would be useless claiming more?
Thanks.

You will still have to record 19 more units in each year which can be verifiable or non verifiable to meet the requirements for signing the annual declaration.
