maam is it true that auditor can directly contact supplier and perform circularisation whitout client’s permission when the client has not retained supplier statement?
But if the auditor wants to conduct circularisation with customers then client permission needs to be obtained?
Any request for any external confirmation – bank – customer – supplier – entity’s lawyer – must be with the client’ permission. The recipient should not disclose what would be confidential information about the client to anyone without authority.
