Hi everyone,
Has anyone here moved on to ACCA after qualifying with CIMA?
Just wondering how many exemptions you received as a fully qualified CIMA member.
I completed CIMA back in 2014, and according to the ACCA exemptions calculator, it shows 9 exemptions. The thing is, I did get a few exemptions when I started CIMA because of my degree, so I’m not sure if ACCA will still grant the full 9, or if they only count exams I actually sat and passed.
I’ve spoken to ACCA support a couple of times, but I’ve had mixed answers and am still waiting for a clear confirmation. I’m hoping to take the SBL exam in December, but the delay is eating into potential revision time and I don’t really want to start studying if I end up not getting the exemptions.
Would really appreciate it if anyone who’s been through this could share their experience.
Thanks!
Welcome back to our forums!
The exemption calendar clearly shows exemption from the knowledge and skills exams (9 exams in total) so I suggest you should start studying!
