    Hi there,
May I ask 2 questions regarding the OCS exam November 2021 sitting.

    1. In the Blue print it states: I ca use appropriate technologies to gather data for costing-co ord budget prep- from digital and other sources.

Practically in my exam what must I be able to communicate?

    2. When it discusses the business model and the digital eco system – I am not 100 % confident I understand this requirement.

    Many thanks
    Candice

    Hi Candice,
Welcome to Open Tuition & yes Im glad to help!

Really pleased you are already familiar with the OCS blueprint ‘I Can’ statements. But you have identified a common ‘issue’ here in that some of the I-can statements are a bit vague.

You can view all past OCS exams from 2019 new syllabus onwards & you will see the range/ extent examined to date is similar.
In terms of ‘digital/ other sources’ then this can only be an ‘extract’ attached to an email task in the Ops Case study exam – eg a table of data from ‘digital sources’ etc to interpret & then suggest KPIs or how a time series graph might help or similar!

In terms of your question – re “business model and the digital eco system ” Im not sure quite what you mean. The Nov21/Feb22 OCS definitely has a strong environmental theme -so having a good knowledge of sustainability and carbon-neutral is going to be good prep ( both terms are mentioned specifically) but I cant find reference to digital eco-system anywhere ( not in E1 text/ not in the preseen -so Im not sure what you mean?) If you want to clarify a bit – ill check back on the forum to see if I can help with that….

    Thanks
    Cath
