How I would choose a tuition provider
Classroom based tuition provider: I would attend one of their open days, talk to the teacher of the subjects I am planning to attend, and/or ask their previous/present students, if possible. Than I would also take into consideration their location, student supports, fees and class time to suit my work hours.
Online based tuition provider: I would ask for couple of their last sessions recorded class samples; and also would consider their fees, number of live sessions per subject( as I prefer more sessions with shorter period each session),live sessions timing, access to recorded sessions, interaction facilities with respective subjects’ teacher and technical supports .
In both cases, I would also google a bit to search various student forums/blogs/news about these tuition providers in my mind.

Our lectures and Course Notes are updated more regularly than any other tuition provider
Every one of our lecturers has at least 30 years experience teaching for ACCA exams, which is more than any other tuition provider.
More students use OpenTuition than any other tuition provider.
OpenTuition is the only tuition provider with tutors answering ‘Ask ACCA Tutor’ questions within 48 hours
And….OpenTuition is the only tuition provider that provides the service free of charge 🙂

February 2, 2014 at 5:17 pm #154798Off course OT is a good source for quality study material and information. That’s why I am here in the first place, and regularly follow it. I also recommended this site to many of my ACCA study mates. And everyone admitted that, they were benefitted from this site in various capacities. I’ve taken both classroom and online tuitions (including OT) in my ACCA journey and never failed any exam so far. So by this original post, I just wanted to share my own experience in deciding tuition provider, as OT does not allow discussing other tuition providers directly. And the bottom line is, we can promote OT is a quality learning site, but certainly can’t put a limit on people’s choice.
February 10, 2014 at 1:07 pm #157719I quite agree, and we would never try and limit peoples choice.
However this website is not the place to discuss other tuition providers.
