Hi sir,
Regarding tetburry co
After reading all negaive background if comp.
i will suggest that auditor shouldnt accept the engagement
But examiner answer state that auditor can do. Why?
Authority is investigating the client for non compliance.(engaging w this client will commit the audit firm w these trouble/show that they are promoting client interest) thats what i think
Thanks
The answer concludes “if the audit appointment is accepted” after a discussion of the issues of possible safeguards. If you come to a reasoned conclusion that, on balance, the audit should not be accepted, you will still earn the available marks. What you have to bear in mind is that few companies will be “unauditable” – it you don’t accept the audit – another firm will – so as long as the risks are reduced to an acceptable level you can conclude that it could be accepted.
