Which of the following are disadvantages of using pie charts to represent information?
1) Exact values are difficult to determine
2) When values are similar differences are hard to determine
Answer is both are correct.
I am unable to understand second. Second is disadvantage for all other charts too and even if in real when we have similar value so it would be hard to contrast between them.
I would suggest it’s because this is a bigger disadvantage with pie charts than other methods of presenting data such as bar graphs. So while what you are writing is true, pie charts have relatively bigger disadvantage than most other ways of presenting information in regards of similar values being difficult to determine. Hope this helps.
Very helpful.
