Hello, could you please check the working for the capital allowances bit? I think there is some computation error which affects the final answer. Or maybe not :S

Thank you for all the support! 🙂

Did you have a look at the F6 lectures? I don’t know, but maybe tutor is going through this example on the screen?

Oh! Did not think of that.. No figure was actually specified for the total capital allowance in the relevant lecture but I was still able to follow the tutor’s instructions to confirm my workings. Thank you for the suggestion 🙂

Hi Futurediva I have just seen your question and gone back to the answer and I now see what your query is about! The correct figure of allowance has been calculated on the main pool of 1872 but for some reason a different number (1,537) has been picked up in the total column!! The total capital allowances for the accounting period should have been 35,182 and the tax wdv c/f on the main pool should have been 8,528 (if hopefully my arithmetic is better this time!) This would obviously then change the adjusted trading profit figure used in determining the assessments in the relevant tax years.
My apologies for this error and my thanks for taking the time to point this out!

sir, still their is a error in the ans. the correction have been made with capital allowance but fail to correct it in calculation the trading income, still it has use the same old figure. so trading income figure is wrong in ans.
