    Hi all,

I was just going through this answer and I can make sense of the statement of changes in equity and where the numbers all come from.

In the answer at the back though there is an extra section which has the statement of income…why is this needed if we are only asked for the statement of changes in equity since we don’t really need any numbers from there?

    Many thanks,
    Ruby

    Hi Ruby

There’s no reason other than to show what the statements of profit or loss and of comprehensive income should have looked like

When you’re faced with an exam question the question requirement will be specific and precise so don’t worry about having to include additional statements

    OK?

    Hi MikeLittle,

Thanks for your reply, that helps a lot. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn’t missing something really obvious which was why that extra statement was needed (which in fact it wasn’t).

    Kind Regards,
    Ruby
