Re to engagement to compile financial information, the notes stop to objectives. However in the lectures there are a full analysis. Please advice

The course notes are a framework around which I lecture. Obviously, on the day this lecture was recorded I must have decided to look more deeply at engagements to prepare financial information.

There’s little point in preparing the notes if all I’m then going to do is read them out aloud!

If I were to take that approach, you would soon switch off and then I’ve lost you. By lecturing much deeper than the notes, I hopefully retain your interest in what is really a fascinating subject

Hope that settles your concerns but please do keep on posting!

I am resitting the P7 exams and I am wondering if i should go over the notes or if i should just practice questions now.
Can you please advise as to what approach i should take.

    Thank you.

Which notes? If you’re talking about opentuition notes then, yes, go through them again. That should take about 2 (maximum 3) hours – just reading them

If you’re talking about lecture notes from one of the big publishers, ask yourself, “Do I have a death wish?)

Can you really face the prospect of reading through all those pages again?

Read through the OT notes and then get seriously into a reputable revision kit

    Hope that helps!
