    Dear SIr,

I am following the OT notes and for chap 19 example 3 i am quite confused as to how to arrive at the figure for the Sale line indexed cost of 9959.
    Am i doing it incorrectly calculating 2000/4000 x 19908 =9954
I cant arrive at the figure of 9959 no matter how i try.
Please do guide me accordingly. Thanking you sir.

It is just a typing / updating error – my apologies – clearly it should be your number!
Thank you for pointing this out to me

Not a problem also can you check the answer for practice question 2 KATE on page 227 of OT notes..The non savings computation for the taxable income is incorrect. I do believe it should be 33500 so that would also make the Non Savings and Savings computations incorrect.

The answer that I have arrived to is 7245 TAX Payable. Can you please tell me if my computations are correct.

    Thanking you.

Apologies for delay in reply – the non savings taxable income is 33,500 – can you just check your version of OT notes with what is online as I think some time ago I corrected the updating calculation error that you may now be referring to – thanks
