Can someone tell me if there are any major changes in the syllabus from 2011 to 2012. I have an older version of the book, and was wondering if its essential to get the latest version.
Also how good are the Open Tuition notes. This is my first time studying from them. Can I rely on them completely or should I study them along with the text book.
Please reply soon. Thank you in advance.
Hi zohra!
You can breathe easy. There were no changes to the F7 text in 2012 so your study text for 2011 is good enough. Hopefully it’s not from earlier than that.
Opentuition notes are best when used together with the video lectures. Matter of fact, they are succinct and to-the-point compared to study texts like BPP, which can tend to be superfluous especially with theory.
But remember, with only 3 weeks to go, the MOST IMPORTANT part of your preparation is ADEQUATE QUESTION PRACTICE. Practising as many exam standard questions under timed conditions is way more crucial than the text/ notes at this point.
Thank You so much for your help macneal 🙂
I would further like to ask if there are no changes in specially the chapters related to consolidation, as this forms a major question in the exam paper. How about the IAS’s, have there been no changes to that either?
