Dear Sir,
I would like to know whether there will be any changes in the lecture notes for P7 September/December 2016 exam session. If yes, by when will the lecture notes be updated?
June 11, 2016 at 12:10 pm #322370There is a new chapter on audit reports to cover the recent changes but otherwise you can use the June 2016 notes
OK?

July 18, 2016 at 12:48 am #326410Hi Sir just got my results. Missed by few marks need to retake. Shall need your advice whether Sept or Dec exam would be better in the sense like preparation n all. As audit report has changes is it a drastic or minor changes. Do u have any lecture or notes on it thanks.
July 18, 2016 at 7:16 am #326645Hi Amelia – so sorry to hear that you missed the 50% 🙁
Audit reports is quite a drastic change so you need to get on top of that. The course notes are up-to-date
I would have thought that a September retake would be preferable – at least then the work necessary to refresh the knowledge from the June preparation would be relatively easier than if you delayed until December
Hope that helps
July 18, 2016 at 8:56 am #326741Ok thanks Sir 🙂

July 18, 2016 at 9:03 pm #327366Hi…I failed ..got just 30 .plz advice
July 19, 2016 at 6:01 am #327471Then either:
you are not answering the full paper, the full 100%, or
you’re not answering the question and going off track thinking that you’re doing well and you’re into the second (and third) booklet but you’ve misinterpreted the question requirement, or
you’ve misinterpreted the verb in the question requirement and although many of the points that you make are relevant for the same question with a different verb, they are not relevant for this question with this verb, or
you’re not making enough separate, relevant, markable points and that leads on to
you’re focussing on what you believe is a really really important element to the exclusion of others whereas a marker will give you full credit for that really really important point (1 mark, possibly 2) whilst you then earn nothing else because all your effort went into that one point, or
maybe you didn’t apply exam technique like I go on and on about (planning, before you commit your thoughts to a written answer), or
maybe you don’t know your stuff (sorry)
Sorry to be so brutal and I just hope that this helps
