Hello Sir, I had take a look on the new F7 syllabus September 2017 – june 2018 and I saw the following new things added in the IFRS 16 lease:
a) Account for right of use assets and lease
liabilities in the records of the lessee.b) Explain the exemption from the recognition
criteria for leases in the records of the lessee.c) Account for sale and leaseback agreements
I wanted to know if these new things added to IFRS 16 lease are examinable for the December 2017 exam? .Thank you in advance for replying me Sir.
Yes, they certainly are – they are also examinable in the September 2017 session
The course notes are updated to remove the old IAS 17 and replace it with the new IFRS 16 and those notes, I believe, should be sufficient for your purposes
