Hello – I have a question and I would really appreciate a quick answer. I am using course notes 2011 for this coming December sitting, is this fine or are there major changes that took place since then?

    Many thanks,

    Maha

    Maha,

Please don’t risk using notes of 2011 yet there are current notes available on Open Tuition. Check out the syllabus for the paper you are intending to sit, the changes are always indicated. Hope this helps. If you really have to use 2011 notes then you need to know the changes so that you can incorporate them. But i would advise that you get December 2013 notes.

    Thanks jennyasiimwe.

Update – It is actually 2012 Notes, I really don’t think there is much risk involved in using 2012 notes giving that Audit isn’t a paper that changes a lot, but maybe am wrong, let’s see how our tutor will respond!

I would sugggest comparing your notes with the study guide at this link https://www.accaglobal.com/content/dam/acca/global/PDF-students/acca/f8/studyguides/f8-int-sg-2013.pdf just to be on the safe side

@Plen – Thank you very much for the link! :)) Very sensible advice, to be honest I haven’t checked it VERY WELL yet but I have scanned through and I can say that the course notes I have contains everything, which does make sense giving that I have 2012 course notes and I am giving 2013 exam, you don’t expect much of a change in a year time, and even when there is a change or something new introduced, they tend to examine it a lil bit later..

Anyways, I think am confident with what I have!

    Regards,

    Maha
