Sir the time limit for claim of CGT relief is 12 months following the end of the tax year in which disposal is made. So for 2017/18 tax year it should be claimed by 31 jan 2020 right?
In the solutions to the example sums you have given the due date as 31 jan 2019.

The time limit depends on which CGT relief you are claiming
