Hi all.. I need a very-very huge favor. Seriously, I dunno how to study for CBE exam. I’m taking paper F1-F3. But I dunno where to start. Can anyone help me? What material is the best for CBE exam? Currently I’ve got passcard for F2 and F3. I’m really2 stuck. Plssss

you need more than just passcards they are meant for revision.
I would get the current texts either Bpp or Kaplan and work through those. If you can get hold of them I would recommend the Bpp I-pass disks as they are supposed to be just like the actual CBE. This would help with exam practice. The revision kits are good also.

I agree with mohib and *starfish* – you can’t study for these exams without a text book – the passcards really are, almost for last minute revision – you need to know the topics in a lot more detail to understand the bigger picture. Depending on where you sit your exam, I would buy the corresponding text i.e. at a BPP centre, but their material. This is important as BPP for example will cover things in a certain manner and so will the exams…if you struggle with the books – which when you learn from home, is understandable – there’s a really good book called Frank Wood’s Bookkeeping and Accounts published by the Financial Times (6th ed) – and it breaks a lot of the concepts down into a more digestable language. It’s also excellent for the double entry part of the syllabus, as this is the most important part to get your head around!.

I would suggest Frank Wood’s Bookkeeping and accounting 7th Edition or Franks Wood’s Business Accounting 1 – 11th Edition. (IFRS Edition).
I have just completed ‘Introduction to Book-keeping and Accounting’ course from Open University- UK and I found these two books are great help.

Passcards is a small pocket size booklet that covers briefly most essential topics.
They are good for quick revision.
