Hello sir,
I’ve been trying to practice questions on excel. I had a doubt regarding the calculation of PV. I tried using the PV function available on excel but it’s giving me the values for annuity factor and not the present value factor. So I just multiplied the present values of each year with the cash flows. Is it alright?
Have you been using Excel, or the spreadsheet feature in the ACCA’s specimen CBE exam (which is not Excel)?
Why not simply use the annuity factors from the tables (assuming it is an annuity) – you get provided with the tables in the exam?
