What should be done to interest paid and interest received from the SOPOL to the cashflow statement?
Both direct and indirect method?
Have you watched the lectures on this?
Interest paid is subtracted from the cash generated from operations.
Interest received is included under cash flows from investing activities.
It is irrelevant whether using the indirect or direct method – they are two ways of arriving at the cash generated from operations – the rest of the statement is the same whichever method we are using.
