what will be the accounting treatment for dividend received in the statement of cash flow. its said we can either put it on operating or investing but since we are asked to fill in the blank there can be only answer. what is the perfect answer?

You would not be asked to fill in the blank for this precisely because there are two treatments allowed! There is no ‘perfect’ answer.
