    Hello – I would like to know if below could be answered as I am a bit confused
    Budgeted data for provided below:
    Sales
    The monthly sales in 2024 are expected to be $ 110,000. Cash sales are $40,OOO per month and the rest is on credit. 60 percent of the credit customers take on average one month before settling their accounts and the remaining credit customers takes two months before settling their accounts.
    Material purchases
    The yearly forecast, for material purchase, is $660,000. All purchases are made evenly throughout the year. All purchases of material are paid one month in arrears.
    Direct labour
    The monthly labour cost amounts to $49,OOO including $5,OOO of monthly depreciation charge, is paid as and when it falls due.
    Capital expenditure
    The firm intends to acquire plant and equipment for $350,OOO in June 2024. The whole amount will be paid in November 2024. The acquisition shall be partly financed by a loan of $240,OOO and the loan proceeds shall be paid in bank account in June 2024. The loan repayment shall be

    effected as from July in 48 equal monthly instalments. (Ignore interest payments).
    Tax
    An amount of $54OOO is expected to be paid to the Tax Authorities in May
    2024.
    Cash balance
    The cash balance at 1 st January 2024 is expected to be $21 ,OOO.
    Required:
    Prepare a quarterly cash budget for the year ending 31 December 2024 also showing the total column.
