    Hello,
I would like to ask you how would you claim capital allowance on car with CO2 emissions of more than 130 g/km.
The cost of the car is £5,800 (used car) and the CO2 emissions are above 130g/ km which is classified as special pool rate. i have worked out that I can claim £464 but this is below the limit of £1,000. Can I claim £1,000 or i need to claim £464. Please advise.
    Thanks in advance

If you are referring to £1000 of the small pool WDA, you cannot claim that because that is supposed to be claimed on the amount before deducting WDA. In this case £5800, as a result, you cannot claim the small pool WDA, therefore the figure that goes as your capital allowances is £464

You cannot claim a 1.000 £ small pool WDA because it refers to a special/main pool balance.
Since your balance is 5.800, you cannot claim small WDA.
If it was lower, you could.
