Hi All,
I reached part-qualified in June 2018 and started studying my first P-Paper for September, however, I wasn’t able to take the exam and the syllabus changed.
P2 became SBR.
My question is, can I rely on the P2 tuition/revision material from Kaplan for the SBR exam?
I am planning to sit this in March or June 2019.
I am trying to pass this exam on the cheap as I am self funding.
Thanks in advance,
TomJanuary 25, 2019 at 5:11 pm #503273Technical content of P2 is very similar. The only new examinable doc for INT exam (see https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/exam-support-resources/professional-exams-study-resources/strategic-business-reporting/examinable-documents.html) is ED 2016/1 Definition of a Business and Accounting for Previously Held Interests, which is relatively minor.
However, the exam is VERY different in style and emphasis. See the “approach to examining” in the syllabus, check out all the examining team guide (linked here https://www.accaglobal.com/in/en/student/exam-support-resources/professional-exams-study-resources/strategic-business-reporting.html) – video and approach article.
I would certainly recommend a current edition approved kit for SBR so you practice questions of appropriate style and standard.
