As the title says, p7 notes june 2014 can be used for december 2014? i mean is there any changes made to syllabus ?
August 12, 2014 at 6:06 pm #189693Syllabus changes are detailed on the P7 page on this site.
Course notes are updated (lectures aren’t) for the syllabus changes. You should check out the differences from your downloaded version to the index on the site and print off those new chapters (integrated reporting for sure)
In addition, get up to speed with IAS 41 Agriculture introduced into the P2 syllabus for December 2014 (yes, I do mean IAS and I do mean P2)
Start reading the daily website update for http://www.accountancyage.com – it’s free. there is invariably an article of relevance to ACCA P7 (or P1 or P2) and it will take you no more than 5 minutes per day to read that
For example, there was a series of articles in March / April this year about how Europe has passed a resolution to introduce mandatory rotation of auditors and, if you had been following the articles you would have read about MANY top 350 companies in UK changing auditors – some after those auditors had held office for 80, 90 even 100 years

August 14, 2014 at 5:33 am #189984No, if you look at the detail of the “many” changes, you’ll see that most of them are minimal
You should be ok with June material so long as you get up to speed with integrated reporting, mandatory rotation of auditors and IAS 41 Agriculture
