Can I take optional subjects with essential In P level?

I am planning to sit p1 p2 p3 and P4 In June 2015! P4 is an optional subject and other three are essential! One of my friends said that I won’t b able to do the optional without doing the essential ( P1, P2, P3). Is it true?? Do I have to complete the 1st three to continue with P4?? I am a full time student and I would wish to take your advices about my decision in doing four subjects in professional level! Please do reply

you can do p1, p2, p3, and p4… you can do the p level papers in whichever sequence in whichever combination
