So I know the exam is tomorrow and everyone is probably frantically cramming random pieces of tax knowledge into their brains but I have a question for you guys:
Am I legally allowed to charge people for tax advice even though at the moment I am not a qualified professional?
I assume that it should be fine as long as I do not portray myself as being a qualified accountant?
Anyone have any knowledge on this matter?
The reason I ask is that I was helping my uncle with his tax (he included depreciation in his trading income; made me laugh) and he is helping a couple of people get started in his trade and he got me another couple of people who would require some tax assistance from time to time and I would be charging these people and I was wondering if there were any legal implications for me taking these jobs on considering I am not a qualified accountant, merely a student.
Good luck for tomorrow everyone.
