Chapter 17, Example 1- I had to alter the settings on my calculator to get my answer match the model answer. Is there a tolerance in the exam for this, or is their a universal setting for the calculators?

I suspect it’s not a matter of adjusting your calculator!

Indexation factor is rounded to three decimal places for everything except shares where the indexation factor is not rounded. 🙂

Yeah, but to get to the same indexation factor as the model answer, I had to adjust my calculator settings. I had a difference of 0.001 and it changed the IA by £9. I just want to know if there is a tolerance for rounding on the exam.

    (229.2-212.1)/212.1 = 0.08062234794 (from my calculator)

now round to three decimal places one gets.0.081

    🙂
