Hi John, I am currently using Casio FX-3650P.
I wanted to ask if it’s an authorised calculator?

    It’s a scientific programmable calculator…

I tried to ask ACCA using live chat, they only answer me by stating the regulation, which I have seen several times but don’t understand what “store or display text” means.

Is there any suggested calculator if my current one is unauthorised?

Thanks a lot for answering my questions.

Do words appear on the calculator screen? If they do then it is not allowed. If words do not appear (only numbers) then it is allowed.

    Hi John,

    For example,

when I calculate real options; the calculator will display
“In (300/100)” in the first row, and
    “1.099” in second row.

Are those (IN, e, sin, cos, tan, log) are “words” ?

No – they are not classed as words 🙂

    Hi John

May I know what are “words”?
This model allows to input programme as well, but limited to some symbol and A B C D.

You will have to check with the ACCA – it is they who decide on the rules.

I do not think you should risk it with your calculator, but should get a normal scientific calculator.
