lets suppose I do a wrong calculation but explained it correctly according to the concept asked. How will be the marks awarded?

You will get some, certainly. It is difficult to be more specific as it depends on the importance of the calculation to the question. Never avoid commenting on a figure you have calculated (assuming comment is required) just because you fear your calculation is incorrect.
