If question ask to explain advantages of CAATs or Audit software, so can the following advantage be written for both CAAT and Audit software OR can it only be written for CAAT:
CAAT/ Audit software can test large number of transactions accurately and quickly
There are two types of CAAT: audit software and test data.
Testing a large number of transactions is possible using the audit software type of CAAT, however, test data will not achieve that.
Often better to give an example, such as: Audit software can test quickly and largely a large umber of transactions such as searching through all of the receivables ledger for very old debts.
