Hi Mr John….What if question says by-product sales revenue is credited to the sales account…..Some questions say to the process account…What’s the difference…Thank you

If it is treated as sales revenue, then it does not reduce the joint costs.

Usually it is not treated as sales – instead we reduce the joint cost.
